Polyester- Fiberglass Paving Mat is produced from the mixture of polyester fier and glass fiber by wet lay-out process. The combination of glass fiber and polyester fiber is the key to its performance. After mixing the two fibers together, the polyester fiberglass mat keeps good features of both fibers and minimizes shortcomings of both fibers.
Strong tensile strength make polyester-fiberglass paving mat extends the life of pavement through the delay of reflective cracking. Polyester fiberglass paving mat also serves as an effective moisture barrier. The unique, non-woven, polyester-fiberglass structure of the mat allows asphalt binder to fullhy penetrate and fill voids within the mat, limiting moisture infiltration and precenting water ingress into the granular layers of the pavement structure.

Application:
1. PF1003/5 is used as waterproofing, insulation and soundproof material on the wall and ceiling.
2. PF136-600 is used as paving mat on the highway, airport runway and some other business lots.

Instruction to use the polyester fiberglass paving mat:
◆ Removing dirt, gravel and dust from the pavement to assure good attachment between asphalt and pavement.
◆ If the road is damaged, or have cracks, craterlet, the road must be repaired to make the surface of the road to be hard and smooth.
◆ To assure to get good result, the asphalt that used to attach the polyester fiberglass mat to the road must be hot asphalt, but not emulsified asphalt.
◆ The temperature of hot asphalt should be between 163℃ till 204 ℃.
◆ When the hot asphalt covered the road, the polyester fiberglass mat must be overlaid onto the hot asphalt before the asphalt lose it’s mobility so as to assure the mat fully soak asphalt and effectively provides a moisture barrier.When install the Polyester fiberglass paving mat, the air temperature must be above 4 ℃.
In order to achieve optimal results, during installing polyester fiberglass paving mat we must pay attention to the following points:
◆ Polyester fiberglass paving mat must be installed on the hot asphalt. We recommend the following asphalt. AC-20; PG64-22; AR8000 +, or the asphalt with penetrate rates 60-80. In extreme hot summer, we recommend to use the bitumen with high viscosity of the bitumen, such as AC-30; PG67-22; AR8000 +, or the asphalt with penetrate grade 40-60.
◆ The best ratio of asphalt is 1.1 liters / square meters paving mat, but based on the actual situation during the installation, the ratio can be between 1.0-1.3 liters / square meters. During the asphalt transit, we do not advise to heat the asphalt above the temperature 204 ℃, because this would hinder the pre-mature of liquid asphalt
◆ Be careful to handling the polyester fiberglass paving mat during the installation, the paving mat will be damaged or cause bad result if the paving mat drop down from the installing machine.
◆During the installation, if any direction forms the stripes bigger than 2.5cm, the stripes must be cut and overlaid, and the two layers of paving mat must be fully covered by asphalt must assure the two layers of paving mat fully soak the hot asphalt. Use roller to press the paving mat or use brush to handle the paving mat so as to clear out bubble in the paving mat to assure the paving mat be fully attached to the road. During covering the hot asphalt to the road, the width should be 4 inch more than the width of paving mat. Since the paving mat can not be curved, in the winding area of the road the paving mat can be cut into several pieces, and be installed to the road manually or mechanically.
◆For the connection of two pieces of paving mat, the two pieces of paving mat must be overlapped together. On the road direction the overlapped area must be at least 10.2cm, and on the cross direction, the overlapped area must be at lease 5.1cm.
◆ When the installing machine or other vehicles driving on the paving mat, should try not or minimizing turning direction so as to avoid damaging the paving mat. Do not broadcast sand or other object on the paving mat to protect the paving mat, do not minimize the ratio of bitumen to avoiding avoid asphalts attach to the tire of the machine.
